Dr Friederike Grosse; My Story
Mental health has always been a big part of my life - from a rebellious, hyperactive, creative teen, witnessing my parents’ divorce and self-medicating with drugs, to a very sensitive young woman who silently wrestled with bulimia for 19 years.
On the outside, I appeared strong and well put together. Some would label me as a high-achiever with four degrees (BSc Education Studies, MA. Ed., MSc Educational Research, PhD in Education), but deep down, I always felt a ‘Sehnsucht’ (longing) for something. I did not know what this ‘Sehnsucht’ was until I finally became very quiet and connected to my heart.
Only then did I know that my life’s purpose is to assist others on their journey ‘within’ and walk with them until they find their way back to Source.
I’m a certified mindfulness life coach and author. I strongly believe that once we connect to our true Source we can achieve anything. It all starts with an awareness that we want to change our lives/ourselves and a willingness to take the first step… the rest is still unwritten.

My Values & Beliefs
Authenticity
Through my PhD I learnt that labels, such as German, Multilingual, Buddhist, ADHD can be useful in helping us to make sense of something. However, anything that comes from the conceptual mind, does not help us to access our true nature; that is pure awareness. I believe we all share the life force that connects us to all there is - let’s be real.
Compassion
I believe that the light of compassion transmutes any negativity through forgiveness and hope. We must all learn to move through life practicing compassion and love for all sentient beings. This starts with having compassion for ourselves and letting ourselves ‘off the hook’.
Sense of Purpose
We often wonder why are we here. Many of my clients have lost touch with their innermost desires and their energy. To move forward in life, we need to establish focused intention and align ourselves with what brings us joy.
My Approach
I start each session with a grounding exercise and allow our coaching to unfold naturally. I strongly believe that the best quality solution comes not from me, but from the ‘coachee’, hence I encourage my clients to explore whatever arises within our session. Should we get ‘stuck’ at some point, I use mindfulness techniques to help us to move forward and perhaps point us toward something that we cannot yet see. We can work on Zoom, Teams, Facetime, phone, or face to face.
Create a vision
Through focused attention, I assist my coachees to observe what they may want to attract in their life - against what might be coming up. By noticing opportunities and obstacles I allow them to create a vision. We do this by activating all senses with a particular focus on ‘what would it feel/look like?’.
Grow
By uniting my coachees with their own energetic resources, the degree of awareness and alignment with their aspiration is enhanced. Growth happens in the unknown and through my approach I help my clients to step out of their comfort zone, encouraging them to merge with their goal as if they have already achieved it.
quiet your mind
Before we can receive messages from the infinite intelligence that connects us with all there is, we need to become quiet and go within. I use specific grounding techniques at the start of each coaching session to help my coachees to ‘go within’.
“A great silent space holds all of nature in its embrace. It also holds you.”
